Purpose
The increasing number of patients with implantable cardiac devices raises the need for more efficient outpatient follow-up care. Remote monitoring (RM) can be widely used as an important part of care for the patients due to technological progress. Main objective is to evaluate the benefits of a continuous RM system using the BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring® (HM) system in comparison with standard outpatient follow-ups.
Primary endpoints
Planned and emergency visits, hospitalization ICD-related events, and delivered shocks and their appropriateness are primary endpoint
Secondary endpoints
None
Eligibility
Patients indicated for a single-chamber or dual-chamber ICD implantation for primary or secondary prevention accorging to the current guidelines.
